Israeli Folkdance Detroit

I am the dentist/owner of Facial Beauty Dental in Wixom, Michigan (www.dentabyte.com) and have been Israeli Folkdancing in the Detroit Metropolitan Area and in Ann Arbor, MI since 1984. Having regularly attended weekly drop-in sessions, I was invited to become a member of the performing dance troupe Hora Aviv.

Since the summer of 1986, I have traveled yearly to many dance camps, both in the United States and abroad, in order to keep up-to-date with the new dance material and learn favorite classic dances from the choreographers. The camps have included Danse Montreal, Chagigah,
Hilulim, Hora Shalom, Hora Keff, Machol Miami and many others.

In the summer of 1998, I met my wife, Jacki, at a folkdance trip to Israel and the Karmiel Dance Festival. We have been happily married since 2000. I am a proud stepfather of 2 stepdaughters and 2 grandsons. Dana Jakubovic is a college student studying Media/ Recording Production. Meliss Jakubovic Bachar leads Israeli dancing in Atlanta (www.rikudatlanta.com) and directs the performing dance troupe, Nitzanim.
